Learn from experience

It is New Year’s Eve, so time for a little fun, wrapping up the year.  I always look at everything as a learning opportunity and not so long ago, I had an experience that I learned from.  So here is a warning!

Be careful how you respond at a party!  When approaching your company Christmas Party and as you walk through the parking lot you hear, “Hey Terry, over here!”  Be sure to proceed with caution.  Especially if as you approach the crowd, you see mason jars being held out to you and hear, “You have to try this!”  Be sure to remember that a single mason jar is not the same as a single serving.  Take your time and if possible a smaller glass.  Consider mixing with other less alcoholic drinks.  Because it doesn’t matter how rough the day/week has been, filling an empty beer bottle and then coming back an hour later for the rest of the jar, is not recommended.  Especially when you are drinking it straight.  At least I was a happy drunk!
